Hello, I’m Robert!
Hello, I’m Robert. I’ve always been fascinated by card and board games – there are so many ways to have fun together with family and friends and get your brain cells working at the same time!
When I was 12 years old, I was supposed to design a board game on the theme of “Robinson Crusoe” in German class. At that time, I didn't know that games would one day become my great passion.
Then, a few years ago, I had a dream of wild wizard battles - and thus the idea for “Magistrar - Duel of the Mages” was born! I worked out the concept and then met with friends to test it - and lo and behold, it worked!
Since then, I had many ideas for new games – mostly at night, I put everything down on paper. And that's how the second project was born, into which I put my heart and soul: “Neue Helden braucht das Land”! Here, too, I played the first version with friends and got many useful suggestions on how I could make the game even more exciting, complex and tricky. But the idea of developing our own “superhero” was already a lot of fun for everyone!
Nowadays, anyone who comes up with fresh, creative ideas has a hard time on the market. And so I decided to found my own game publishing company with which I can make my dreams come true. SPIEL DAS! has been my life ever since!

Hey, I'm Marco!
Hey, I’m Marco, the illustrator and graphic designer at SPIEL DAS! From the cover to the game rules, I’m responsible for the design of the games.
Since I was a little kid, I was fascinated by games and drawing. A lot of time has passed since my first self-written and drawn comic from kindergarten days – with ghosts, monsters and creepy spelling mistakes. The enthusiasm has remained, and some experience has been added.
For me, gaming is first and foremost about immersing myself in other worlds, facing new challenges, learning, and having a good time together with friends. Playing games can trigger a wide range of emotions and dynamics. I find that exciting and try to bring out this aspect in our games.
With the design of Robert’s prototype for the game “NEUE HELDEN”, I also landed professionally in the board game world in 2018. Then in 2019, a little dream came true for me with “Die Crew – Reist gemeinsam zum 9. Planeten”, the first release of a game I illustrated:
The game became an overwhelming success and I finally felt I had really arrived in the board game world.
I was all the more pleased when Robert came around the corner with the idea of founding the SPIEL DAS! publishing house, and I was able to continue making dreams come true.
Since then, I have been bringing Robert’s game worlds and ideas to life. I hope you have as much fun playing as we had developing them!
