Underwater worlds

The fantastic worlds are the centrepiece of Aqualuma. At the start of each game, you can assemble them modularly according to our suggestions or your own ideas. The ‘Remote locations’ variant makes it a little more difficult for you to get anywhere. 'Short routes', on the other hand, will get you to your exchange station faster. Not only do you have to activate the light spheres there, but you can also use game-changing special effects.

Magic strip

You have to fulfil numerous different tasks with your dice. Both the colours of the dice used and their values play a role. Sometimes you have to place an ascending sequence or only odd numbers. Sums must be formed or only dice of the same colour must be used. By triggering the magic tyres, you can access the balls of light and reduce the darkness in the underwater worlds.

Dark maps

The darkness gradually spreads - and the cards show where it is increasing. At the end of your turn, you must reveal one of these cards and adjust the crystals on the underwater worlds shown. But beware: if the dark crystals reach their maximum twice, you will lose the game.

Characters

As Finn McMarlin, you can move faster and take others with you thanks to your tentacles. Crabigail manipulates cubes inconspicuously with her scissor hands, Captain Crumbs simply grabs extra ones! Master Shellzen, on the other hand, can activate the light spheres much more cheaply.

Magic cards

You have three of these cards in your hand at the start of the game. They allow you to manipulate dice or take additional dice from the supply. Particularly important: You can only move through Aqualuma by playing magic cards. Whenever you are in the same underwater world with heroes, you can swap these cards with each other.
